The Waskasoo Park trails
The City of Red Deer counts more than 110 km of soft and hard surface trails across the Waskasoo Park system, and on-street bike lanes and routes link into them. They follow the Red Deer River past Bower Ponds, Heritage Ranch, McKenzie Trails, Maskepetoon Park and Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary, almost 122 hectares of protected land. On the City's bike route map, trails cross the river on the 67 Street, 49 Avenue, Gaetz (50) Avenue and Taylor Drive bridges, and its summer trail map marks the Trans Canada Trail through town. In North Red Deer, the Red Deer Mountain Bike Park has cross-country singletrack rated green, blue and black diamond.
Three ways to ride it

- Snow and an easy step-on: the Taubik Tour S rolls on 26 x 4.0 in Kenda Juggernaut fat tires, with a low step-through frame, a 75 mm RST Guide fork and Shimano Acera 8-speed.

Red Deer winters
Environment Canada's 1991–2020 normals for Red Deer show a January daily average of −11.6 °C, 137.8 cm of snowfall a year and 129.4 days with at least 1 cm of snow on the ground; the frost-free season lasts 112 days. Wind is less of a factor than in Calgary: Red Deer averages 2.7 days a year with winds of 52 km/h or more, against 21.0 at the Calgary airport. The City's snow and ice program clears 68 km of neighbourhood asphalt trails, 35 km of Waskasoo Park trails and five staircases within 3–7 days of a snow event, and its trail map page says all clearing is done by machine, with no chemical ice melts.

Questions
Is there an e-bike store in Red Deer I can visit?
Not from Fast Ebikes. We sell online only: no showroom, no test rides and no pickup, in Red Deer or anywhere else. Your bike is delivered to your address, or to a local bike shop you choose and book for assembly, and shipping is free across Canada.
Do you deliver electric bikes to Red Deer?
Yes. Shipping is free across Canada, Red Deer included; we don't ship to P.O. boxes. Every package is insured, and someone needs to sign for it when it arrives, so choose a delivery address where that works for you.
How long does shipping to Red Deer take?
First we process the order, within 1–3 business days. Shipping then takes 2–7 business days, depending on where you are located, and you get a tracking number by email once it has been processed. A gap of up to 5 days between tracking scans can happen on a long trip and is normal.
Who can assemble my e-bike in Red Deer?
A local bike shop you choose: ship the order straight there and book the assembly with them. If you'd rather build it at home, photograph or film the box before opening it, and check the frame, wheels, battery and every other part before you begin.
Which e-bike suits Red Deer's trails and winters?
It depends on the surface. The Waskasoo Park system mixes soft and hard surface trails, where a hardtail like the Taubik Westridge 29T fits. For the 129.4 days a year with snow on the ground (Environment Canada, 1991–2020), fat tires such as the Taubik Tour S's 26 x 4.0 in Kenda Juggernauts give more grip.
