An island city with flat trails
Richmond is built on two main islands and a group of smaller ones at the mouth of the Fraser River, and the City credits its flat terrain for the easy access of its trail and cycling system. The City lists more than 345 km of designated on- and off-street bike routes and over 50 km of trails. A full loop of the perimeter trail system is 47.5 km; the City suggests allowing 2 hours 45 minutes by bike. Inland, the 5 km Railway Greenway runs north–south from Britannia Shipyards to the Middle Arm Dyke Recreational Trail, and on Sea Island the Iona Beach jetty adds a 4 km walking and cycling option.
Weather at the airport station
Vancouver International Airport is on Sea Island in Richmond, so its Environment Canada record is the city's own. The 1991–2020 normals there show 4.1 °C as January's daily average and 18.2 °C for July, 1,119.2 mm of rain over 166.0 days, and 36.6 cm of snow on 7.4 days. On 39.8 nights a year the low reaches 0 °C or colder, yet only 2.8 days stay at or below 0 °C. In a storm, the City can send up to 11 large trucks to clear 316 km of designated routes, arterial roads and bus routes first.

Questions
Do you deliver e-bikes to Richmond, B.C.?
Yes. Shipping is free across Canada, Richmond included. The bike arrives at your address, or at a local bike shop you choose and book for assembly. We don't ship to P.O. boxes, and the insured package needs someone to sign for it, so pick an address where a person will be home that day.
Do you have an e-bike location in Richmond I can see?
No. Fast Ebikes sells online only: no showroom, no test rides and no pickup. To feel pedal assist before buying, note that Lime has run app-based shared e-bikes in Richmond since May 2022, according to the City. Then compare battery size, tires and frame style on our product pages.
Which e-bike is good for Richmond's dyke trails?
The terrain is flat, so a big climbing motor matters less than comfort and range. A step-through such as the Taubik Vista 26 is easy to mount, and the EUNORAU META275 2.0 takes a second battery for long loops like the 47.5 km perimeter. Riders who prefer three wheels can look at the Velotric Triker.
Are there group bike rides in Richmond?
Richmond's Active Transportation Committee hosts a free, guided Island City by Bike Tour each June as part of Bike Month, according to the City. The 2026 tour, on Sunday, June 14, was based at Thompson Community Centre, with a 26 km long ride and a 10 km short ride. Watch the City's cycling events page for the next date.
How long does delivery to Richmond take?
Plan on 1–3 business days of processing, then 2–7 business days of shipping, depending on where you are located. We email a tracking number when your order ships, and you are welcome to call us about delivery instructions before it arrives.
