Last updated: November 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains the ways in which Fast Ebikes Canada Inc. collects, uses and discloses personal information about you when you visit www.fastebikes.ca, use our services, buy from www.fastebikes.ca or communicate with us in any other way (all of these together, the "Services"). In this Privacy Policy, "you" and "your" mean you as a user of the Services, be it as a customer, as a website visitor or as any other individual whose information we have collected under this Privacy Policy.

Take the time to read this Privacy Policy with care. When you access or use any of the Services, you agree to us collecting, using and disclosing your information in the ways this Privacy Policy describes. If you do not accept this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use any of the Services.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

From time to time, we may change this Privacy Policy. The reasons can include changes in our practices, or other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. When we change it, we will publish the new version on the Site, change the "Last updated" date and take any further steps that applicable law requires.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Information

We collect personal information about you, and have done so over the past 12 months, so that we can provide the Services. It comes to us from several sources, listed below. What we collect and use depends on the way you interact with us.

Apart from the specific uses described below, we may use the information we gather about you to provide the Services, to communicate with you, to meet any applicable legal obligations and to enforce the terms of service that apply. We may also use it to protect or defend the Services, as well as our rights and those of our users or others.

The Personal Information We Collect

Which kinds of personal information we obtain about you depend on the way you interact with our Site and the way you use our Services. In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" means information that identifies you, relates to you, describes you or can be associated with you. The sections that follow set out the categories of personal information we collect and the specific types within them.

Information You Give Us Directly

When you send us information directly through our Services, it may include:

  • Basic contact details, such as your name, address, phone number and email.
  • Order information, such as your name, billing and shipping addresses, payment confirmation, email address and phone number.
  • Account information, such as your username, password and security questions.
  • Shopping information, such as the items you look at, add to your wishlist or place in your cart.
  • Customer support information, such as whatever you choose to put in your communications with us, for example in a message you send through the Services.

To use some features of the Services, you may need to give us certain information about yourself directly. You can choose not to give it, but you may then be unable to access or use those features.

Information Collected Through Cookies

We also collect some information automatically about how you interact with the Services ("Usage Data"). We may do this with pixels, cookies and similar technologies ("Cookies"). This Usage Data may cover your access to and use of our Site and your account. It can include your IP address, information about your device, your browser and your network connection, and other information about how you interact with the Services.

Information We Receive from Third Parties

Lastly, we may get information about you from third parties. These include vendors and service providers that may gather information for us, for example:

  • Companies that support our Site and Services, for example Shopify.
  • Our payment processors. They collect payment information (e.g., billing address, bank account, or credit or debit card information) to process your payment. This lets us fulfil your orders and supply the products or services you asked for, so that we can perform our contract with you.
  • Information that we, or third parties we work with, may collect automatically through online tracking technologies, such as cookies, pixels, web beacons, software developer kits and third-party libraries. This can happen when you are on our Site, open one of our emails or click on it, or interact with our Services or advertisements.

Information we obtain from third parties will be handled in keeping with this Privacy Policy. We accept no responsibility or liability for the accuracy of information third parties provide to us, and we are not responsible for the policies or practices of any third party. To learn more, see Links to Third-Party Websites below.

ID Checks on Card Payments

An order paid by card may need to go through an identity check before it ships. Stripe Identity, a verification service run by Stripe, carries out the check. It asks you for a selfie and a government-issued ID. That information is collected, processed and stored by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We get the outcome of the check. Our staff can see a verification through Stripe, but we do not download your ID or keep any copy of it. The only purpose we use the check for is preventing card fraud. If you would rather not complete it, you can instead pay by Interac e-Transfer, or cancel your order free of charge.

Our Uses of Your Personal Information

  • Delivering Products and Services. Your personal information is used to deliver the Services to you, so that we can perform our contract with you. This use includes processing your payments and fulfilling your orders; sending you notices about your account, purchases, returns, exchanges or other transactions; setting up, maintaining and otherwise managing your account; arranging shipping; facilitating any returns and exchanges; and letting you post reviews.
  • Marketing and Ads. For marketing and promotional purposes, we use your personal information, for example to send you promotional, advertising and marketing messages by postal mail, email or text message, and to show you ads for products or services. This may also include using your personal information to tailor the Services, and the advertising on our Site and on other websites, more effectively.
  • Security and Preventing Fraud. To detect, investigate or act on possible fraudulent, illegal or malicious activity, we use your personal information. If you choose to register an account and use the Services, it is your responsibility to keep your account credentials safe. We strongly recommend that you keep your username, password and other access details to yourself. If you believe your account is compromised, please get in touch with us right away.
  • Customer Communications. Your personal information is used to give you customer support and to improve our Services. We do this in our legitimate interests: to respond to you, to provide you with effective services and to keep up our business relationship with you.

Our Use of Cookies

Our Site uses Cookies, as many websites do. We use Cookies to operate and improve our Site and Services, including remembering your preferences and actions. We also use them to run analytics and to get a better understanding of how users interact with the Services. We do this in our legitimate interests in administering, improving and optimizing the Services. We may also let third parties and service providers use Cookies on our Site, so that the advertising, products and services on our Site and on other websites can be better tailored. Shopify powers our store; for details of the Cookies we use in connection with that, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.

By default, most browsers accept Cookies automatically. You can, however, use your browser controls to configure your browser so that it removes or rejects Cookies. Keep in mind that if you remove or block Cookies, this can harm your user experience, and parts of the Services, including general functionality and certain features, may not work correctly or may stop being available. Also, blocking Cookies may not fully prevent our sharing of information with third parties, for example our advertising partners.

Disclosing Personal Information

In some situations, and subject to this Privacy Policy, we may disclose personal information about you to third parties for legitimate purposes. Those situations may include:

  • To vendors or other third parties that carry out services for us (e.g., payment processing, IT management, customer support, data analytics, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping).
  • To business and marketing partners, including Shopify, for the purpose of providing services and advertising to you. These partners will use your information under their own privacy notices.
  • Where you direct us, ask us or otherwise consent to our disclosing certain information to third parties, for example to ship products to you, or through your use of login integrations or social media widgets, with your consent.
  • To our affiliates or otherwise inside our corporate group, in our legitimate interest of running our business successfully.
  • In connection with a merger, bankruptcy or other business transaction; to meet any applicable legal obligations (including responding to search warrants, subpoenas and similar requests); to enforce the terms of service that apply; and to defend or protect the Services, as well as our rights and those of our users or others.

We have no control over who will access information you choose to make available to others. We cannot ensure that those who access it will respect your privacy or keep the information secure. We bear no responsibility for the privacy or security of information you make publicly available. We are also not responsible for the accuracy of any information you disclose, or receive from third parties, nor for its use or misuse.

Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Site may link to websites or other online platforms that third parties operate. If you follow a link to a site not controlled by us or affiliated with us, you should read that site's privacy and security policies and its other terms and conditions. We neither guarantee nor take responsibility for the privacy or security of those sites, including whether the information on them is accurate, complete or reliable. Information you provide in public or semi-public venues, including information you share on social networking platforms run by third parties, may also be viewable by users of those platforms and/or other users of the Services, without any limit on its use by us or by a third party. Except as stated on the Services, the fact that we include such a link does not, on its own, imply that we endorse the content on those platforms or their owners or operators.

Children’s Personal Information

The Services are not meant for use by children, and we never knowingly collect personal information about children. If a child for whom you are the parent or guardian has given us their personal information, you may contact us at the details below and ask us to delete it.

As of this Privacy Policy's Effective Date, we have no actual knowledge that we “share” or “sell” personal information of anyone under 16 years of age (as applicable law defines those terms).

Keeping Your Information Secure, and How Long We Keep It

Please note that no security measure is impenetrable or perfect, and we are unable to guarantee “perfect security.” Information you send us may also be insecure while it is in transit. We recommend that you not use unsecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential information.

The length of time we keep your personal information depends on several factors. These include whether we need it to provide the Services, maintain your account, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or enforce other contracts and policies that apply.

Your Rights and Options

Depending on where you live, some or all of the rights below may apply to you in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute. They may apply only in particular circumstances, and in some cases we may refuse your request where the law permits.

  • Access / Right to Know. You may be entitled to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, including details of how we use and share it.
  • Deletion. You may be entitled to ask us to delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Correction. If personal information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you may be entitled to ask us to correct it.
  • Portability. In certain circumstances and with certain exceptions, you may be entitled to receive a copy of personal information about you that we hold, and to ask us to transfer it to a third party.
  • Restricting Processing: You may be entitled to ask that we stop or restrict our processing of personal information.
  • Withdrawing Consent: If our processing of your personal information relies on your consent, you may have the right to withdraw that consent.
  • Appeals: You may be entitled to appeal our decision if we refuse to process your request. You can appeal by sending a reply directly to our denial.
  • Communication Preferences: You may get promotional emails from us. You may opt out of them at any time with the unsubscribe option shown in our emails. After opting out, you may still receive emails from us that are not promotional, such as emails about your account or the orders you have placed.

Any of these rights may be exercised where our Site indicates, or by contacting us through the details below.

Exercising any of these rights will not lead us to discriminate against you. To verify your identity before we give a substantive response to a request, we may need you to give us information, for example your account information or email address. As applicable laws allow, you may name an authorized agent to make requests to exercise your rights for you. Before accepting an agent's request, we will require proof from the agent that you authorized them to act for you, and we may require you to confirm your identity with us directly. Our response to your request will be timely, as applicable law requires.

Complaints

To complain about the way we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. If our response to your complaint does not satisfy you, then, based on where you live, you may be entitled to appeal our decision by contacting us at the details below, or to file your complaint with the data protection authority in your area.

International Users

We may transfer your personal information to countries other than the one where you live, including the United States, and store and process it there. In these countries, your personal information is also processed by staff, and by third-party service providers and partners.

For any transfer of your personal information out of Europe, we will rely on a recognized transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or any equivalent contracts that the UK's relevant competent authority has issued, as relevant. This does not apply where the transfer goes to a country determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
