Gears that shift themselves are the headline on the Level 4 ADV: an E-Shifter with AutoShift handles the Shimano CUES 10-speed gears behind Aventon's Ultro S mid-drive. Add an 800 Wh battery, a 100 mm fork and an included rack, fenders and lights, and it is a commuter for longer daily rides.
Highlights
- Ultro S mid-drive: 100 Nm of torque and 750 W peak, with an IP67-rated motor (see hub motor vs mid-drive).
- AutoShift gearing: the Aventon E-Shifter changes the 10 gears electronically, and AutoShift can do it for you.
- 800 Wh battery: 36V 20Ah on Samsung 21700 58E cells, keyless, removable and certified to UL 2271; up to 177 km in Eco mode by the brand's figure, 5 h to charge.
- Comfort: a 100 mm coil fork with preload adjustment and lockout, a 50 mm suspension seatpost and 27.5 x 2.2 in Kenda K1052 tires.
- Brakes: Tektro HD-M3120 2-piston hydraulic discs on 180 mm rotors.
- Speed and load: pedal assist is set to 32 km/h as shipped and can be unlocked to 45 km/h, by the brand's figure; 27.7 kg bike, 136 kg maximum load.
