Hot summers, freezing winters
Environment Canada's 1991–2020 normals for Kelowna give a July daily maximum of 28.5 °C and 27.8 days a year above 30 °C. Winter is real too: January averages −2.6 °C, 151.4 nights a year drop to 0 °C or lower and 29.2 days never climb above it. The older 1981–2010 normals for Kelowna airport record 89.0 cm of snow on 34.5 days a year. Charge and store the battery indoors in both seasons; our winter storage guide covers the cold months.
Pathways, rail trail and canyon
The City of Kelowna's active transportation data lists about 16 km of cycle tracks, 62 km of paved shared-use pathways and 43 km of unpaved ones, plus about 305 km of bike lanes with each side of a road counted on its own. The Mission Greenway makes up about 19 km of the unpaved paths. Inside the city the Okanagan Rail Trail is about 12.5 km of paved pathway; the trail's own site plans 52 km in total, says a nearly 7 km stretch from Old Vernon Road to the Lake Country boundary is not built yet, and describes the sections farther north as crushed aggregate. Up the hill, BC Parks calls the 12 km Kettle Valley Railway section between the Myra and June Springs accesses an ideal day trip by bike.

Questions
Are there e-bike stores in Kelowna where I can see your bikes?
Not ours. Fast Ebikes sells online only, with no Kelowna showroom, no test rides and no pickup. We ship free to your address or to a local bike shop you choose and book for assembly, and every product page lists the motor type, battery size, tires and weight so you can compare from home.
Which electric mountain bike suits Kelowna?
For steep climbs and rough trail, a full-suspension mid-drive climbs through its gears: the EUNORAU URUS 2.0 has a Bafang M600 and 150 mm of fork travel. For the rail trail's crushed aggregate and the unpaved Mission Greenway, the Taubik Westridge 29T hardtail on 29 x 2.4 in tires is the simpler choice.
Which trails near Kelowna make good e-bike rides?
The Okanagan Rail Trail, paved inside Kelowna, with an easy 1.3% grade per the City of Vernon; the Mission Greenway, about 19 km of unpaved pathway in the City's data; and Myra Canyon on the Kettle Valley Railway, a 12 km day trip in Myra-Bellevue Park. BC Parks lists services there from mid-April to November 15.
Who services an e-bike bought online in Kelowna?
A local bike shop you choose. You can ship the order straight to that shop and book it for assembly, then go back for tune-ups. Our electric bicycle repair guide on the blog lists the jobs you can do yourself and the ones to leave to a shop.
How long does shipping to Kelowna take?
After an order is confirmed we process it within 1–3 business days, and the shipping time is 2–7 business days depending on where you are located. You get a tracking number by email, and someone must sign for the insured package when it arrives.
